Addie looked up from her Pina Colada and grinned, revealing extremely white and well kept teeth. Hey! she said as she motioned for Wanderer to come over. It had been a while since they'd seen each other. Addie had been too busy with working Minnie for opening hunt. As much time as she spent in the barn, she was usually there first thing in the morning, and last thing in the evening. Of course, by then, everyone was gone but the stable hands. They were nice, but hardly any company for a teenage girl.

She sat up straighter, realizing she was slouching, which she had been taught was bad manners. The girl scoffed herself and took another sip of her drink, eager to talk with her friend. So, what's up? she asked, looking over the rim of her glass. She caught several people looking at her, probably wondering why she was drinking an alcoholic beverage. Her waiter walked by. Thanks for the virgin Pina Colada. It's great. she said with a wink. Any curious eyes shifted their gazes elsewhere, discouraged by the prospect of no possible gossip. A Bates' child drinking? Now that would be something to talk about.

That's good. I've been really busy- getting ready for opening hunt. she explained with a broad grin. The excitement she felt showed in her voice. Fox hunting was Addie's favorite thing to do. There was no other day like Opening Hunt for her- it even beat her birthday and Christmas. Some thought she was just strange, Addie thought, no, knew they didn't truly appreciate the sport. She crossed her legs and chugged the rest of her drink. In a matter of minutes another one was brought to her. Thanks. she gave her waiter a genuinely friendly smile as she picked it up and swirled the frosty liquid with her straw.

How are Hope and Matty? she asked, noting the ketchup drawings with a little laugh. She sometimes spaced out like that too.

The girl grew aware of more eyes staring at the pair. She wrinkled her nose and buried her face behind a desert menu.

No drag hunt- this is gonna be with a real fox. Addie said with a broad grin. She paused from further conversation as her food came. She looked down out the huge burger and grabbed a knife, splitting it in half and setting one part to the side. There was no way she would eat that whole thing today. Too many calories and she had become less hungry than when she'd first arrived at the little restaurant.

Glad to hear they're doing so well! Addie said as she took a bite of the burger. It was cooked just right, and basted in the best barbecue sauce she knew of. The girl sighed and looked around, noting people were still staring at them. She wrinkled her nose and took another sip of her drink. You coming to the hunt? she asked hopefully.
